Interim Development Directors BootCamp
THE INTERIM DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
There are six phases associated with a methodical engagement as an interim Development Director of a nonprofit organization, as taught in Interim Executives Academy. But how can those models and practices be adapted to result in an equally logical approach to the work of an Interim Development Director? The Interim Executives Academy is proud to present a Bootcamp that prepares aspiring and practicing nonprofit leaders to consider the application of interim leadership models to fundraising functions.
Bring your questions to the upcoming complimentary Introduction to Interim Development Directors BootCamp on December 16 and January 13.
During this four-part Bootcamp, participants will review the logic model of interim leadership with discussion about application to short-term strategic leadership as an Interim Development Director.
Particular attention will be spent:
- Analyzing current fundraising trends and discussing what constitutes excellent fundraising leadership for community impact organizations in 2026 and beyond.
- Constructing a realistic picture of fundraising functions and cultures that have experienced a leadership transition.
- Identifying the expectations that executive directors, board, fundraising committees and volunteers would have of transitional fundraising staffing.
- Applying the six phases of interim leadership to a typical interim fundraising engagement.
- Reviewing Interim Executives Academy's recommended protocols and interventions unique to Development Directors.
A 57-page workbook including tools and other resources will be used in the BootCamp. As is customary with any course of study accompanied by a text, we ask you to purchase a copy of the workbook for use during the BootCamp sessions. The workbook is available in two formats, each of which costs $19.95 ($24.95 in Canada) plus shipping if applicable.

We encourage those from historically underserved communities to apply.
The State of Washington approved Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5814, Laws of 2025, Chapter 422 (ESSB 5814) which makes presentations, including classes, seminars, webinars, and for-fee education presentations a “retail sale” and, therefore, is subject to sales tax beginning October 1, 2025. If you are a resident of the State of Washington, sales tax will be collected at check-out based on your credit card billing address. Interim Executives Academy thanks you for your business and appreciates your extra effort to make sure we all remain compliant with current tax law.
